What does custom pallet fabrication involve?

Custom pallet manufacturing means building new pallets according to your specifications, not modifying old pallets to "approximately" fit. The order must clearly state: length × width × height (mm), 2-way or 4-way pallet, single-sided or double-sided, static/dynamic load capacity, wood type, and whether or not it will be ISPM 15 fumigated.

When should you order custom-made pallets instead of buying ready-made ones?

You should proceed with processing if one of the following points matches your inventory:

• Shelves, conveyors, or container interiors that do not fit industrial pallets measuring 1,200 × 1,000 mm.
• For heavier loads than the standard range — the Royal website states that acacia wood pallets can withstand loads from 1 to 2 tons; the load capacity for each item must be specified in the quotation.
• Handcarts can only access from two sides, or conversely, four sides are needed to retrieve goods from the end of the shelving unit.
• Exporters are tightening tolerances by a few millimeters and prohibiting overlapping edges of the slats.

How long does it take to manufacture custom pallets?

It depends on the quantity, complexity, and factory schedule. Smaller batches, with specifications close to ready stock, usually process faster than export batches requiring fumigation. The specific timeframe is stated on the order confirmation, not the general number on the website.

Do I need to send a sample pallet?

It's not mandatory if the drawing is detailed enough in millimeters, including slat orientation and leg opening. If a sample is available, the workshop can remeasure to reduce tolerance deviations. Photos with rulers next to the pallet are also acceptable if a sample hasn't been sent yet.

Can processed pallets be fumigated with ISPM 15?

What kind of wood does the Royal Family process?

Main wood type: Melaleuca. Glue used only as specified in the order. No plastic pallets. Wood type must be stated on the order form — "mixed wood" cannot be compared between the two price quotes.
